You Are What You Think

You Are What You Think
The Power of Positive Thinking
Think it, Believe it, Become it. Wither you want to believe it is true or not, you can not escape the fact that you are what you think. If you think that your are happy, you will be happy. If you think that you are depressed, you will be depressed. If you think about how much nicer everything that everyone else has, you will become very jealous of them, and soon become angry.

Witches and The Law Today

Becoming A Witch:
Witches and The Law Today
How can I become a witch?  First of all let’s look at what Benjamin Franklin had to say about choosing your life long career:
In studying Law or Physick, or any other Art or Science, by which you propose to get your Livelihood, though you find it at first hard, difficult and unpleasing, use Diligence, Patience and Perseverance; the Irksomness of your Task will thus diminish daily, and your Labour shall finally be crowned with Success.  You shall go beyond all your Competitors who are careless, idle or superficial in their Acquisitions, and be at the Head of your Profession. – Ability will command Business, Business Wealth; and Wealth an easy and honourable Retirement when Age shall require it.

                                                                                    ~Benjamin Franklin
Like any other career, becoming a Witch,Shaman,Medicine Man,Witch Doctor, etc. is not as easy as one at first may think-like all other careers,it requires years of hard work,”school-style” book study, training, practice, and learning from mistakes-both your own and the mistakes of others. You must of course be a deeply spiritual person,(and remember that being religious has nothing to do with being spiritual, you can be the most religious person in the world and still not have a single spiritual bone in your body). You must learn to use ancient and old fashioned tools, which will usualy include crystals, herbs, spells, hypnosiss, affermations, and visualizations properly;it is particuarly important that you learn to harness magnetic energies and force feilds;and you absolutly must learn to know what will heal and what will not. Don’t forget about things like, love, compasion, and the physical, mental, and spiritual endurance that will be needed to be able to remain calm, tactful, and leval headed when around sick, and dying patiants. Families of the resently dead will often be at your door,so the ability to comfort those who are mourning is another nessary trait of a Witch. Keep in mind too, that many Witches are also faced with the job of preparing the dead for funerals (in much the same way as a mortician or funeral home director would),in fact if you plan to become a Voodoo or Aborigany Witch Doctor, this will be one of your main requirements, and you may want to consider opening your own funeral home and possibly a cemetary,in either case you’ll need a funreal director’s license if you plan on buying a hearse-according to United States laws, car dealers aren’t allowed to sell hearses to anyone other then a licensed funeral diector, although you may be able to by a used one from a local funeral home. Preparing the dead is what I do more than anything else-and believe me,actualy seeing a dead body in real life isn’t at all like what you see in the movies! If you can’t handle death or the idea of preparing a body for burial, than you’d better start rethinking about your career in Witchcraft and becoming a Witch right here and now! Sooner or later it well hit you that the reality of being a Witch isn’t at all the great glamoruse thing you thought it was,and you’ll be alot better off if you realize that here and now, before you go any farther. Like any other form of medical practice it takes years of study to become a compitent healer, ans some states will require you to have 8 or more years of medical training (at a medical college) before you can get a lscence to open your own practice as a Witch..You must keep in mind also, that if you wish to become a “Prophesional Witch”-one who opens an office and heals  sick patiants as a career-than you will also need anywhere from four to ten years of medical collage as well(it is illegle to open a practice that cater’s to clients-even a just one day booth at a fair-unless you have a medical license-you can get up to 25 years in prison-per client, for practicing without a licesence).Witchescraft is NOT a religion, therefor you are not required to change religous veiwspoints/ theologies,be baptised,be initiated, attend a coven,or change any other religious practice you currently have,to anything else, unless that is what you were going to do anyways.
Now on the other hand if you are like most people, and you just popped into Witchcraft and declared yourself a Witch because it sounded cool and it got your parents really mad(just as you had hoped it would),than you don’t realy want to be a Witch–what you want to be is a Wicca or a Wiccan. Please remember that Wiccas and Wiccans are not,I repeat not,as in N-O-T,not Witches. Wiccas and Wiccans are all about cutesy coven club rituals, black clothes ans makeup, seances at midnight, bonfires by moonlight, tricks and treats, prancing around worshipping tree spirits and moon spirits, and doing alot of foolish childish things that you will quickly abandon once you grow up and start a career, have a family, and get a life. Witches are Witches for the rest of their long lives, because it is their career, and not some childish whim. Becoming a Wiccan ,a Wicca,a Vodu~shi,or any other member of any other religion,is quite easy and any one can do it-you merely study their religion and it’s beliefs, announce”I believe what they teach!”,and vola, you are one! (If you’d like a more formal approach you can find a local coven/tribe/church/group and follow whatever religious initiation instruction that particular coven’s High Preist/ess requires you to do in order to join their particular coven). That’s all there is to it;however you must remember that being a Wicca,Wiccan,or Voodoo doesn’t make you a Witch, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car. It only means that you are just one more member of a power seeking, energy draining church-going religion.
Getting A License to Become a Practicing Witch:
Witches are listed by the United States legal system as “alternative healers” or “alternative physicians”.In ALL 50 states anyone who is a Witch(or just calls themselves one)is looked on by the state as a physician. No matter what name you call yourself-weither it be Witch,Wizard,Shaman,Hungan,Mambo,Herbalist,Reiki Therapist,etc.-the State Government will always calls you by one name and one name only-physician.So you had better get used to thinking of yourself as a doctor, because it doesn’t matter how much you try to tell the Courts otherwise, they will see you as one thing-a doctor(or a fool who tried to play doctor)and if you aren’t licensed as a doctor and you do something to someone or give them something that makes them sick, you can be sure that the State will take you done with everything they can find to throw at you-from practicing medicine without a licesene to willful malpractice, and if your client dies-manslaughter!If you want to be a Witch you’d better be prepared to accept the responseabilities of it as well as the risks. To practice in your own home,on yourself, your immediate family,or your own pets is not ileagle and does not require a license;however,if you wish to practice on other relitives, your freinds, neighbors,or other “clients” and/or their pets you are required by law to have a license.Practiceing on anyone outside of your immediate family is punishable by fines, community service, jail time, loss of property, loss of reputation, and if someone dies as a result of your practice, you could even get a life imprisonment or in rare instances, exicution!Remember,as I said before being a Witch is not a hobby,it is a seriouse and potentioaly dangerous business that requires wisdom, medical knowledge, and state approval. If you met someone who calls themselves a Witch, ask to see their medical license and report them to your State Department immediatly if they haven’t got one(If you don’t report them, you could be held responsible as an accomplice to crime!).
Every state has their own laws regarding practicing Witches(by any of their countless names)who treat clients and it would be impossible for me to list them all,but in order to give you a general idea of what’s required of you,if you REALY want to become a REAL Practicing Witch who treats clients,I will quote here what the State of Maine says about it………..
*
“Since 1895,it has been Maine law that any physician must be licensed to practice medicine in our state. Through licensure, the state insures that all practicing physicians have an appropiate level of education and training and that they abide by recognized standards of professional conduct while serving their patients.
If the physician studied allopathic medicine and holds the M.D.degree,the license is issued by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine. If the physician studied osteopathic medicine and holds the D.O. degree, that license is issued by the Maine Board of Osteopathic Licensure. Both boards also determine the qualifications and regulate the practice of Physician Assistants who extend the practice of licensed physicians. Both licensing Boards function similarly and oth uphold high standards of professional practice.
The members of each board are appointed by the Governor. The boards are composed of both physician and non-physician members…..The boards are state agencies responsible for protecting the health and welfare of the public by granting or withholding the privilege to practice medicine, and by investigating complaints concerning physicians and physician assistants and taking disciplinary actions where appropriate.
Any citizen may inform the Boards of their belief that a licensee may have violated the Medical Board Act or a standerd of professional conduct…..
The Boards have power to investigate, hold hearings, impose discipline, seek long term suspention,or revocation of license by filing with the Attorney General a request for prosercution in the Maine Administrative Court……
Professional incompetence can generally be described as the inability to apply the principles of good medical practice due to lack of fitness, knowledge, skill,or ability. If the Boards find that the allegations are true, they have the authority to impose a variety of disiplinary sanctions. The board can:
issue a warning,censure,or reprimand
enter into a Consent Agreement with the licensee to modify, restrict,or impose conditions on the licensee’s lincense to practice
assess a fine of up to $1500 for each offenss
suspend license for up to 90 days for each offense
in the most serious cases, revoke the license
Legaly you can’t even tell your best friend which vitamin he/she should take,or make a statement like “Garlic will cure your cold” or “Chamomile will help you sleep”. The Federal Drug Addministation has not proven either of these statements, that is why hospitals don’t presrcibe herbs.A physician cannot leagaly prescribe herbs, vitamins, vegetables,or fruit, because the F.D.A hasn’t tested these items as medicaitions (nor do they seem to intend to any time soon),and if a physician prescribes any item as a medication that the F.D.A. hasn’t yet approved, then that doctor is at risk of loseing his/her practice, because the F.D.A. must approve it before it can leagly be prescribed or used. This is the only real diferance between a physician and an altrenative physician.A physician is a healer, who must abide by the laws of the F.D.A.;an alternative phyisician, however is a healer, who willfuly refuses to acknowledge the F.D.A. as an ruling office of athority, prefereing instead to practice by “the old ways” and is therefor at constant risk of investigation and seizure by government officals. In recent years the government has been much more leniant and acceptive of Witches and other alternative physicians, which explains the recent upriseing of Alternative Healers opening public offices and practices. As I said before each state has it’s own set of laws regarding Witches,so be sure to check with your states Board of Medicine,Board or Medical Licensure,or Department of Professional Regulation,Licensing, and Enforcement Division, before you decid weither or not you wish to become a Practicing Witch who treats clients.
Some Witches think they can avoid getting a medical license if they don’t prescribe herbs, teas, vitamins, foodstuffs, etc. to their clients.Instead they go about their business by hypnosis, affermations,Vodun poppets, crystal healing, etc.,not realizing that to do these things they now require not only a medical license, but a phycology license as well. All of the above mentioned healing methods are classified by ALL 50 states to be forms of “alternative psychotheropy or mental conseling”,and require that you have the appropreate medical licenseing as well.
That leaves only stuff like Yoga, excercising, etc,”I can do that without a license right?”.Wrong! Now you need a medical license in physical theropy!
So,now you’ve probably decided that you’re gonna forget the healing aspect of Witchcraft and just focus on the religous stuff, like nearly every other “Witch” out there today is doing, after all,you don’t need a license to preach do you?Actually,Yes,you do need a license to open a public coven/tribe/church/or other religous organization if you have five or more regular members who meet together reguarly,in a place(ever your own basment)where any religious teaching or preaching will be done. Now you need what is called a “non-profit-organization” license and become a certified minister of the gospel(dosn’t matter if you use the Bible or not-the government consideres you to be preaching the “gospel” no matter what you say to your group’s members). This is why most covens have only one or two leaders,no teachers, and less then five members. This is also the real reason why many larger covens meet “under the cover of darkness” in “secret places”-it has nothing to do with Witches likeing darkness or anything that you may have heard in the movies-it is because the government would shut them down for praticing a religion without a license.Keep this in mind if you plan to join a coven, and never join one that meets only at night and/or in “secret places”,they are probably practiceing without a license, and you don’t want to be at one of their meetings when the police rade their coven, arrest everyone present, and shut down the coven until the leaders have sicured the proper licenses.
You must be thinking there can’t possibly be more.Yes,there’s more!If you open a business, you need to have a business license.I’ll bet you’re saying something like,”But I only want to be a Witch,I’m not opening a business!”.If you treat, even one person outside of your family, you must now pay State Business Tax and Federal Income Tax,and if you sell even just one item you must also collect State Sales Tax.If you aren’t licensed as a business, then heaven help you when the Inernal Revanue Service shows up at your frontdoor(and beleive me,they will-I don’t know how they find out these things, but they do,and they’ll come after you). The IRS will show you no mercy, they will take your car and sell it,they will take your home and everything in it and sell it,they will attach your paychecks-you won’t see a red cent for years, they will put you in prison for tax evasion, and they will take your children and put them in state run foster homes(one out of every ten chidren in foster care gets beaten, raped,or murdered).None of this is an exageration, they can do it,they will do it,and they have done,in fact they do it all the time.I know,I’ve seen it happen, many times.
No,I’m not done yet, there’s still more.If you open a alternative medical practice in any building(even your own house)you will need to first get the aproval of your local town officials, get zoneing licenses, parking licenses and permits, sign permits(some streets aren’t zoned for business signs and you could be fined for something as small as putting a piece of paper with your name on it in your front window),you’ll also need things like:business insurance, fire insurane, consumer protection insureance, medical insurance, patiant liability  insurancne, and any other papers, permits, and licenses that your state requires you to have. The same thing applies to those of you who are planning to start a coven with five or more members(some states say three, others say ten,but most say five-be sure find out what your state requires). And if you plan to offer a taxi/bus/ van/limoseen/hearse/etc. pick-up/drop-off service to get your members to and from your building/house than you will also need a taxi/commercial vehical permit and license both for the driver and the car(the driver will also need to take a special chauffer/taxi driver driver’s license test in order to operate the vehicle, and if you’re using a hearse you’ll need to check with state and local town laws regarding the licenseing and use of them-some states require that it have blue police lights and a police siren added to it before you can use it in a funeral prosesion),as while as auto insurance that covers both the use of the vehicle for business use and as a taxi.
Well, now I am finally done.I bet that when you decided you wanted to become a real Witch that you never expected any of this, did you? Most “witches” don’t.So next time you meet someone claiming to be a REAL Witch be sure and ask them for their credentials, licenses, permits, and other legal paper work to back up their claim! Most likely they will stare at you blankly wondering what in the world you are talking about, because most likely they are not actually a Witch but instead are only just a Wiccan,Wicca,or some other form of a “Witch-Wan-A-Be”.Remember to that not all Witches require licenseing and paperwork, only those who exstend their services to people and animals not in their imediate family do,but these Witches will tell you that they don’t have any paper work because they don’t practice profesinaly for the public, they won’t stare at you blankly.
