Focus Keywords:
A focus is an item, word, or thought that you use to focus your mind on. This is most commonly used with meditation and healing, but can be used for all aspects of life, and is especially good to relax and relieve stress. When you wish to focus on a word, go someplace were you will not be disturbed or distracted, someplace quiet, sit on the floor and hold a string of beads in your hand, take one bead with your thumb a fore finger and slowly and calmly say the word, take a long slow deep breath and without thinking about it move your thumb and finger to the next bead and say the word again; continue to do this until you come to the last bead. This should be done slowly in order to relax your body and shift your mind into a state of calm and peace. Once you have done this, then you can begin to pray in an unhurried, unstressed manner. When you pick a word to be used in meditation, choose one that reflects why you have decided to pray (such as if you are frightened about something and you need to pray for help overcoming your fears, than you would choose a focus word such as courage, strength, peace, endurance, or faith).
The following are “focus” words and their corresponding colors. You can incorporate the colors into your focus in many ways: you could burn a candle that color, or wear a long flowing robe to surround yourself in the desired color, or tie a string of your needed color around your wrist and wear it throughout the week-each time you see the colored string, it will remind you of what your desired goal or focus is, and help you to stay focused on your “focus”.

Labyrinth Walking and Vision Quests:
Labyrinth walking, vision quest, pacing the wheel of life, medicine walking, spirit walking, meditation walking, searching for dreamtime, sacred circle mazes, Victorian hedge mazes, Celtic circles,  ~ it doesn’t matter what you call it, it’s all the same thing. So, what is it?
  Questions for labyrinth walking: When
Why am I here on this earth?
Why am I here in this town?
What is my purpose in life?
Is this my correct path in life?
What do I need to understand?
Is … a good choice for me?
Should I choose … or …?
What is my true career path?
Should I try for this job?
What is my place in the world?
How do I get closer to the Great Spirit?
Why am I afraid of…?
Should I go to…?
Is …. right about…?
What task needs my attention the most right now?
How should I deal with this relationship?
How can I find my soul mate?
Should I marry him/her?
Who should I marry?

What’s your take on this? I’d love to hear what you have to say about this post. Leave a comment and share your views!
