Is there anyone else besides me who likes to write by hand first and then type up later? I find that my thoughts flow better when I’m using pen and paper, plus Oct 18, we had a fire… = no computer to type with
that makes it difficult for me to write up my NaNo entry, as most of you now know I had entered the insanity than is NaNoWriMo and am writing a novel at least 50,000 words long, in 30 days or less, but now since the fire and my lacking a computer, that means I am doing it long hand instead.
advice for those with out a computer, who are complaining that they can not get this done… I do not have a computer, (I’m at the library 30 mins a week to add my totals)
go to NaNoWriMo, look at my word count: 85,000+ and I’m writing it all by hand and than counting the words, so no computer is no excuse… today’s word count was 14,356… you can do it to
here’s how I do it
college lined paper
count words per line, write down the number at the end of the line
do this for each line
than add up the total, that’s your word count for that page… write the total at the top
do this for each page for a single chapter
than add all the totals, that is your words per chapter
do this as you write… I skipped a few chapters and went back to add them up all at once and it was murder!
when you get done for the day add up each chapter total for the day… that is your daily total…
add that to yesterday’s total, you have your new total word count… add that to the honor count
repeat this each day
