Jesus is not important because what he taught (you and I know from our heart that we need to love our neighbors as we love our own) but what He did on the cross. Christianity is not the "do's and don'ts" it a "FINISHED" (Jesus cried from the cross) religion. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is a historical truth and if you look at all the apologetics against the resurrection that always starts with explaining the empty tomb.
