Harassment of Witches: What Happened to Me

black birdOld Orchard Beach Sea Shellsblack bird

I was worrying out loud about wither or not the years of harassment had actually come to an end. It’s been 15 months now since the vandalism stopped and I want to believe the nightmare of those years is finally over, but I guess it’s a case of once bitten twice shy, because even though I have started going out in public again, I still find myself desperately jumpy and nervous around most people, and my phobia of Mormons is now manifesting itself, as I can not be in close contact with any of them any more, which is odd considering my many years of Mormon extremism I lived by. It used to be I couldn’t be around any one who was NOT Mormon and now it’s full swing the other way around. Anyways I was talking about such things on FaceBook, when one of my friends sent me a link to this site: Project Witches Protection

I had no idea such a thing existed. It’s a wonderful idea. I went through and read all of the stuff on the site, but I find that the advice there, really only told me to do what I have been doing right along: Go to the police.

Here’s the problem: I DID do everything she said – when I tried to get help outside of the local level is when things got 100 times worse, and when my house got burned down! The problem, was that it was Jim Thomas himself who was giving the orders to do these things (he was the Old Orchard Beach Town Manager as well as an LDS High Priest), and Ken Shoup (Town Building Inspector) and Will Watson (an OOB Police Officer) whose names were on the actual documents that they had with them when they came into the yard to destroy things.

Will Watson and Jack Nichoals (both Police Officers) were the ones who went through every room of the house tearing everything apart and ripping things up. Kathy Smith, a close friend for 30 years, was the one who brought Human Service and the Humane Society in, and he husband (a local mechanic and another LDS High Priest) is the one who vandalized my car.

It was a family from New Hampshire that did the paint balling, rock throwing, and axing of garden equipment, with a van full of people none of whom I knew because they were members from a church in New Hampshire!

Once the news reporters showed up, things really went wild, and we had tourists and sight seers from all 50 states stopping in our yard to take pictures and so many people were showing up that our house got put under 24 hour police guard for about 6 months in 2003.

The State Police got involved in July of 2001 when the vandals torn down our barn.

We never found out who it was that was leaving the pictures of guns on our front door, but the police officer who wrote the report said the pictures were torn out of a government supply catalog for the police department – he recognized it – he said only a police office or some one high up at the town hall, would have access to those particular gun pictures

We don’t know who started the fire, all we know is that after the firemen finished their investigation, they concluded that a deep fryer had been left on the stove, over heated and blew up, because it had cellophane fly tapes cooking in it. . .the thing of that is, at the time of the fire I had already been living in the tent for 4 months, and our deep fryer, was packed away under the sink, meaning someone took the trouble to find it, fill it, turn it on, and leave it until it blew up and took out half of our house.

I wasn’t home the day some one took a sledge hammer to my Liberace` records, and my grandmothers antique ceramics collection, and than torn out each page of my comic books and that tore each page into confetti.

. . . that was the same day some one broke all the windows out of the house, took an axe to our furniture and also stole my grandmothers 1920′s stamp book full of stamps from the 1800′s.

Nor was I home the day someone thought it was funny to kill and dissect 75 of my hens and leave their remains hanging in my rose bushes, so I don’t know who did that either.

The Dutrumble family was suspected, but never proven, to be the ones who dumped oil in our brook killing 30 of my ducks.

Lisa Bolduc killed Tajid and was found guilty and executed 6 months later.

Several of the rumors about me being evil were started in 1991 by a Major in the Air Force, also an LDS High Priest, who was the one who went to first Bishop Regan and than Bishop Morgan, It was Regan and Morgan who started the religious hysteria. Today the Major, now dieing from a rare illness continues to spread rumors about me, now saying that I put a curse on him to kill him.

The Major originally got his information from a schizophrenic man in Salt Lake City, who claimed to be “the true prophet”, and spent most of his life writing 30 page letters to the real Prophet of the LDS church, telling him that he was being deceived by Satan. I had the misfortune to meet this delusional “prophet” in 1991, and for the next 14 years daily received 30 page letters from him, telling me that I was the spawn of Satan.

I told him to his face what I thought of him, his insanity, his claims of being the “real” prophet, and told him that if he wrote my any more letters I would burn them unopened. He said he would stop at nothing to see me excommunicated from the church, because women had no rights and only witches dared speak back to “a prophet” . . . I was 14 years old at the time. Less than a month later Bishop Morgan called me out of class to discuss a letter he had received. . . guess from who

Tajid was murdered a week later, and 6 months of court followed, with me being the only witness, and police and lawyers asking me hundreds of question, most of which I couldn’t understand. By mid 1992 I had stopped talking.

The letters from the self proclaimed prophet heightened, both to me, and to the Major (who at the time was a close friend), and to Bishop Morgan. The resulting harrasment from Morgan went full swing by fall of 1993, with him calling me “The Anti-Christ” “the holy Apostate”, and a demon possessed witch, and climaxed with him bringing in doctors from Pine Land Center (an asylum for the criminally insane).

In 1997 Augusta Stake President Dr. Earnshaw stepped in when I showed him the letters from “the self proclaimed prophet” along with the letters I was now receiving from Bishop Morgan. Morgan lost his calling as Bishop and both Morgan and the self proclaimed prophet were told by Earnshaw that they needed psychiatric help.

Earnshaw spent the next several months apologizing and trying to help – which I thought was weird since he wasn’t the one who did anything wrong, and yet here he was doing all the “I’m so sorry this happened” every single Sunday at church.

Morgan’s counselor took over as Bishop, but he was heavily influenced by Morgan’s tyranny (Morgan was a white supremisict as well, and had harassed every non white family in the Cape Elizabeth Ward – I am a Native American Indian, so that was why he was so quick to accept the letters from the “self proclaimed prophet”). The new Bishop, refused to say my name instead calling me “White Trash” as though it was my name. The shunning by other members of the Ward soon followed.

In 2001 I stopped going to the Cape Elizabeth Ward due to the shunning and started attending the Sanford Ward instead.

A few weeks after switching Wards, the paint balling and rock throwing started.

Our barn were torn down on July 2, 2001. The local police, the state police, the Journal Tribune, and ABC News Reports got involved by August. Things went out of control after the news reports hit the front page of our local newspapers, which ironically they chose to publish on October 31, 2001, thus farther inflaming the accusations of witchcraft

The physical acts of violence skyrocketed after the news reports. Reaching their height in the summer and fall of 2006. All of the vandalism stopped all at once in February of 2008, after the Bolduc family’s inexplicable and world wide reported death. The same Bolduc family involved with Tajid’s murder and the court trails of 1991.

Before the fire had been put out, the Town Manager called me in to the Town Hall and accused me of having sent the demon poltergeist which lived in my car to enact revenge on the town and demanded the car be destroyed. Actually, he hid in the other room while his assistant told me this. I told he that if she and the rest of the town didn’t leave me and Etiole alone, that I’d let him burn down the whole town and every one in it.

The next day, along with reports of the fire and deaths, were reports of an investigation that had been underway for 6 months into suspicions of the Town Manager and his counsel not being what they claimed they were. Along with announcements of the Town Manger’s swift removal from the town, along with all of his council members, whom it stated were suspisioly all members of his church, along with the announcement that an investigation was started as to which of them was behind the embezalment of town funds.

Several police officers were also investigated and lost their jobs. In the weeks that followed some shocking reports came out about Town Manager Jim Thomas and the fact that Old Orchard Beach was the FOURTH Town Manager job he had been run out of, and that he had fled to Maine to hide from the towns he had abused out West.

From the day of his removal as Town Manager there has been no more acts of violence or vandalism against me or my family, and the constant accusations of witches, curses, demons, and poltergeists have stopped.

As for the self proclaimed prophet, he stopped writing to me in 1997. However, in August of 1997, the Major picked up where the self-proclaimed prophet left off, only he writes to me via email. Today 12 years later, I am still receiving letters from the Major, the longest of which printed up to 64 pages, when I had it printed up and turned over to the Stake President.

In 2003 I received one final letter from the self proclaimed prophet – a letter saying that an angel had appeared to him and revealed to him that he had lived a very wicked life and had deeply hurt both me and my grandmother (he had accused her of being a witch and a child of Satan, back in the 1950s – 1960s, just as he had done me in the 1990s), and that he was going to be punished in hell if he did not make amends for the wrong he had done. The letter than went on begging for my forgiveness. He was found dead from starvation at age 100 years and 14 days old, in the basement of his daughter’s home in Utah a few weeks later.

In the end, all I have to say to any of these people is this: In the day of judgment the wicked shall beg the mountains to fall upon them and hide their sins from the face of God. Be sure your sin will find you out.

Still questioning ministry goals . . .

black birdOld Orchard Beach Sea Shellsblack bird

Actually, I know what kind of a ministry I want, but it’s the very idea behind it that was the same thing that resulted in the vandalism at the hands of religious wackos to begin with. Nine years of vandalism in an attempt to stop me preaching the one thing I know to be true, is what now results in my move to speak out more than ever, resulting in my getting legal documents stating that I can now start a church. . . if the cut water pipes and resulting flood, the murder of so many of my pets, the destruction of my books, the arson to my house, the resulting year living on the streets under a tarp . . . if none of that had ever happened, I don’t think I would have gotten so fired up to tell the world the same things I had told the people who did the vandalism, and yet . . . fear of farther vandalism, stops me from moving forward in this

I’m now an ordained minister, something which, before the year living under the tarp, I would never have even considered . . . every one tells me that God works in mysterious ways and that all things happen for a reason.

I never would have left the Mormon church, never would have sought to become an ordained minister, if the events leading to my year of homelessness had not happened. Things in my life are moving me farther and farther in that direction, it’s so strange. Could it be that this is the “mysterious way” and ultimate reason I had to go through those 9 years of hell?

For those wondering what it is that I said that resulted in the religious hysteria – I wrote it down HERE. it’s my belief in who or rather WHAT God really is. My belief in what angels really are, all summed up in a few paragraphs.

it’s also the founding basis for everything I believe religious-wise, and the core doctrine of my infamous unpublished 900 page thesis “Faith Not Religion”, which stands as the foundation from which I build up the whole idea of starting a church from . . . it’s also the reason why so many LDS Bishops have tried to have me institutionalized as insane.

LDS Friends, Temple Trips, & the continual lowering of standards by the Church

black birdOld Orchard Beach Sea Shellsblack bird

Why do people always come back from the Boston Temple complaining that the cafeteria raised it’s prices again, they didn’t bring enough money for food, and ended up buying snacks out of the vending machines instead? What the hell are vending machines doing in the temple? Why is there a cafeteria in the temple? Buying & selling in the temple, didn’t Jesus have a few things to say about making temples a den of thieves?

I take it that LDS Temples are quite a bit different now, than they were in the 1970′s. Back when I went if you even thought of bringing money in the building it would have warranted questioning wither or not you should be excommunicated.

The church has been going progressively down hill since they changed all the laws in 1979. I do not like all the “new ways” not one bit. It was bad enough when they started letting children attend public schools. Now buying and selling in the temple? What’s next?

And, you are supposed to fast 3 days prior to a temple trip and fast while you are there, and fast for at least 24 hours after returning home – when the hell the the church change that?

I think the church that likes to preach “In the world but not of the world” has finally lowered it’s standards so much that it is now no different from any other politically correct religion. The Mormon church I grew up in, and the church today are so very different from one another. It’s like it’s not even the same church any more. This isn’t the church that I joined 34 years ago, the laws are so changed, the ways of governing are so different. What happened? Why did the Salt Lake Leadership find it necessary to lower their standards until they were dragging in the gutter? What ever happened to “In the world but not of the world?”

What’s your take on this? I’d love to hear what you have to say about this post. Leave a comment and share your views!

This isn’t the church that I joined 34 years ago, the laws are so changed, the ways of governing are so different. What happened? Why did the Salt Lake Leadership find it necessary to lower their standards until they were dragging in the gutter? What ever happened to “In the world but not of the world?”

How to start a religion:

black birdOld Orchard Beach Sea Shellsblack bird

I was just thinking all religions seem to have the same basic start – one person’s theories.

How to start a religion:

1. Observe some aspect of the universe.
2. Invent a theory that is consistent with what you have observed.
3. Use the theory to make predictions.
4. Test those predictions by experiments or further observations.
5. Modify the theory in the light of your results.
6. Go to step 3 and make new predictions.

Is there really anything other than that, to the start of any religion ever created?

The many years of sarcasm from my relatives – there are 264 Atwater’s last time any one counted and that was abut 5 years ago, not sure how many there are today- has resulted in my writing a 900 page thesis on what I do and do not believe in regards to religions and than me constantly quoting from that has resulted in several hundred people (non-relatives) telling me I should start a religion based on it because no religion out there has the same theories I do . I’m starting to believe that may very well be true – 15,000 religions in the world and I can’t find one that has the same theories I do :( LDS and SDA are the closest, though neither is 100% the same as what I believe.

I’ve been tagged: Job Interview

black birdOld Orchard Beach Sea Shellsblack bird

I was tagged for this interview . . . well 2 years ago, and for some odd reason the backlink comment only just showed up today!!!! OMG! Why did it do that? Oh well, I figure I should answer it, better late than never, right?

Here is a copy of the MeMe I was tagged with:

In Richard Nelson Bolles – What Color Is Your Parachute?, Bolles wrote about Informational Interviewing. It’s where you contact your friends, family, etc and ask them for contacts in the field that you are interested in and gather information for your career change.

It can be a job you’d held in the past or currently. You can link back to this post but it’s not compulsory. The reason I post this is I’m researching on jobs and would love to know more about your jobs. I’ll comment on some of my job experiences too because I’m not a sucker that takes without giving :p

Job:
Co:
Duration in this position:
Salary & benefits:
Education:
Other factors that helped you in scoring this job:
The job is about:

How did you get this job?

What do you like most about it?

What do you hate about it?

What’s next? What do you need to achieve that?

Who else do this kind of work?

Well fact of the matter is, I have several jobs, all sort of helter skeltered together, so it’s a bit difficult to clearly defin them all, but I’ll try and see what happens. So here it goes:

Old Orchard Beach Sea Shells

Job: Writer/Author

Co: self employed; freelance
Duration in this position: since 1978; still working in 2009; 31 years!
Salary & benefits: varies from $0 – $200 per project
Education: I left public school at age 8; self taught after that
Other factors that helped you in scoring this job: it’s a job I created for myself because I love to write
The job is about: writing (formaly I wrote fiction, but since 2006 I’ve only written non-fiction)
How did you get this job? I just started writing and than had it printed up (self-published) or sent to a publisher (traditionally published) or posted on a web page (web publishing) or posted on a blog (problogging). Being a freelancer, means I have a lot of ways to get published and I take advantage of every single one of them as often as possible. The more I write, the more I get paid.
What do you like most about it? I like that I can change my schedual to fit my needs: if I want to stay awake and write steady for 48 hours, I can. If I don’t feel like writing for 2 or 3 weeks, I can do that too. I like that I can work around other jobs too. I guess you could call me a work-a-holic, because I’m not happy unless I’ve got lots of jobs all at once.
What do you hate about it? Lack of a steady income – you could end up going weeks or even months between pay checks; lack of any benafits: no social security, no retirment, no insurance, nothing, zip, nadda.

What’s next? What do you need to achieve that? Next? After getting approxamatly 600 fan requests for me to write an autobiography of my strange and multi faceted life with a focus on my time being homeless and the events that lead up to me becoming homeless and how I made it back up off the streets again, I started work on my book “For Fear of Little Men”, to tell the story of how my sightening of what some called and alien and others called a demon (though I called a faerie) resulted in a group of religious fanatics taking matters into there own hands by burning me out of my house. Of course on the side libes of that, and as a result of their religious prejudices, I’m planning to get my 900 page rant about why I dislike religion, edited down to a magageable 250 book, and finally get it published – I started writing it in 2003, and it just kept getting bigger and bigger.
What do I need to achieve that? Not much. Pen. Paper. Word Processor. Memories of events in my life. Time to write it all down. And, since I own my own publishing house, well, I also need to publish it afterwards.
Who else does this kind of work? uhm, well, other writers, here locally we have Stephen King living near by, and you’ve more likely heard of him, so I’ll use him as an example, only he’s more focused on traditionally published novels, and I’m more focused on shorter self published chap books.
You can find out more about what I do for a living HERE.

Old Orchard Beach Sea Shells

Job: Artist/Painter

Co: self employed; freelance
Duration in this position: since 1978; still working in 2009; 31 years!
Salary & benefits: varies from $1 – $200 per project; no benifits; though I was working as a painter for 31 years, I did not recieve my first actual payment for my work until 2004, when I placed my art for sale online via CafePress and Zazzle
Education: I left public school at age 8; self taught after that
Other factors that helped you in scoring this job: it’s a job I created for myself because I love to draw and paint
The job is about: drawing and painting everything that pops into my head and asks me to recreate it on paper.
How did you get this job? I just started drawing and painting. I wrote a really long and highly detailed article about how I got started HERE. Be warned though it well take you a few hours to read, it’s a small novella leagth article.
What do you like most about it? I like that I can change my schedual to fit my needs: if I want to stay awake and paint steady for 48 hours, I can. If I don’t feel like painting for 2 or 3 weeks, I can do that too. Because I never sell my originals, only prints, this is a repeat sale job, which means that I can paint one painting, and than continue to recieve payments, via royalties for many years after I made the painting. As a result I only need to paint one or two pictures each month.

Next? Just more of the same thing really. More paintings, more drawings, more uploading them to CafePress and Zazzle, more marketing and advertising, more getting the word out about my art so more people can find it to buy it.
What do I need to achieve that? Not much. Pen. Paper. Crayons. Paints. Pencils. Time to paint. A camera for my photogray work. Lots and lots of marketing and SEO skills.
Who else does this kind of work? uhm, Everybody else who sells stuff via CafePress and Zazzle!

Old Orchard Beach Sea Shells

Old Orchard Beach Sea Shells

Job: Witch

Co: self employed; freelance
Duration in this position: since 1979; still working in 2009; 30 years!
Salary & benefits: varies from free volunteer work to $200 – $700 per session client; no benifits;
Education: I left public school at age 8; self taught after that – People have been calling me a witch, a poltergeist, or an evil demon possessed girl since I was 4 years old.
I had a very good teacher in the art of casting spells and making Voodoo dolls.
Other factors that helped you in scoring this job: It helps that I have Autism. Apperently as a result of my being autistic I am able to do things that non-autistic people can not do. It’s a job I created for myself because I love to sew dolls, spend time with animals, protect those who can not protect themselves from harm, and listen to things my Faerie has to say to me.
The job is about: There are hundreds of types of Witches out there. So I must break it down so you know what type of Witch I am, as to not confuse me with other types out there. I have written articles detailing what I do and such, and I’m linking those to the words which match their topic, so if you want more info about my job description, simply click on each of the links to read what I do in more detail.
I am a Sea Witch which is a type of Hedgewitch. This means that I work with Familiars to practice Sea Magic, which is a type of Grey Magic (different that White Magic or Black Magic, meaning I’m also knowwn as a Grey Witch rather than either a White Witch or a Black Witch.)
In short, I I heal broken auras with the use of spell casting, voodoo dolls, color therapy, crystals, and by channeling the energy created by Etiole
For those who saw the job title of witch and instantly thought Wicca, please know that Witchcraft is a career and Wicca is a religion, and though I am a Witch, I am NOT a Wicca. If you don’t know the differance between a Witch and a Wicca than please READ THIS.
How did you get this job? I didn’t seek out this career. It was sort of thrust on me when I was 4 years old. I was “born a freak”, or so I’m often told.
What do you like most about it? That it has no schedual at all. I go where I’m needed and work when I’m needed.
What do you hate about it? I hate the vandalism at the hands of so-called “Good Christians” who claim it is their “God Given Duty” to “cast out my demons”.
Lack of a steady income – you could end up going weeks or even months between pay checks; lack of any benafits: no social security, no retirment, no insurance, nothing, zip, nadda.

What’s next? What do you need to achieve that? Next? Well, because I’m always saying (preaching???)  what people call “pretty radical” things, and because I’m always quoteing scripture, and because I spent 20 years studying the Bible, and because as a teenager my goal was to become a preacher, and because there is no religion that teaches the things I do, and because since 2003 I’v had more than 200 people tell me I should start a church of my own, that’s what I’m going to do.
What do I need to achieve this? Well, a good working knowledge of the teachings of Jesus, which I have already. Knowledge of the laws regarding churches. In Maine you have to be legal ordained before you can start a church. As of yesterday, I am now an ordained minister, through a non-denominational church (therefor allowing me to start my own religion). I now have the title of Reverand in front of my name. Next step is to figure out how to actually start a church. In the mentime, though, I require a book of theogies, creeds, laws, and docrtines, and well, that’s why the sudden move to publish my previously unpublished 900 page rant “Faith Not Religion” as mentioned in my writing job info above.
Who else does this kind of work? uhm, I’ve actually never come across another person who does what I do. I’ve encounted many “Witches” but none who are able to do the things I do. They just all seem to do rituals and chants and burn candels and stuff. They say I give other Witches a bad name and accuse me of being a poltergiest or working with a poltergeist. Christians call me an evil witch possessed by a demon, but when I turn to other Witches, they tell me I am evil too, and that I’m not a regular type of Witch like they are (whatever that means) that I’m some sort of freak of nataure. Sometimes they get mad because I do the things I do, without any rituals and such, I just say it and it happens, and me doing that freaks them out, because they say it’s not the type of thing Witches normally do, they tell me I am supposed to be useing all sorts of herbs and rituals and candles. They point out that they studied Witchcraft for years and celbrate all the sabets and worship Goddesses, and get angry because they still can not do the things I do, and ask me how I do it, and I just say I don’t know, because I’ve been doing these things since I was 4 years old and I’ve never studied Witchcraft, I don’t know what Sabets are, and I’m a Christain who would never dream of worshipping a Goddess.
So, long story short, while I would like to find another Witch who was a natural born witch with REAL powers, I have yet to find one and am pretty much outcast by the rest of the Witch community because they think you can’t be born a Witch they think you have to spend years learning how to do it. So I can not provide you with any one else to compare me with, unless of course you want to compare me with Jesus or one of the Old Testament Prophets or the ancient Priests of Egypt, because they are the only other ones I’ve ever heard of who did this type of stuff.

You can find out more about what I do for a living HERE.

Old Orchard Beach Sea Shells

Job: Avon Sales Representative

Co: Avon Products, INC.
Duration in this position: 1996 through 2003;
Salary & benefits: varies from 10% to 30% commision depending on ammount of sales that weekt; no benifits
Education: I left public school at age 8; self taught after that
Other factors that helped you in scoring this job: I had the $20 required to buy the starting kit. That’s all there is to getting started working for Avon – no training, no interview, no questions; you just hand the Sales Manager a twenty dollar bill, she hands you the sales kit, and than you head door to door selling stuff.
(note – I sold Avon before they opened their web site and started selling online; when they first started the online store in 2003, they cancled the accounts of about 75% of their door-to-door sales personal, claiming that they were going to discontinue door to door sales, and that the few remaining sales reps were going to move on to regional managment jobs. A year later, they changed their minds, reenstated the door to door sales and wanted all their old sales reps back, but I never signed back up again.)
The job is about: being a fast talking door to door sales man who carries around a brief case of products and testers and catalouges and tries to convince people they want to buy make-up, perfumes, lotions, and gift products that they never would have known existed if you had not knocked on their door and told the they could not survive without your wounderful product.
How did you get this job? I had the $20 required to buy the starting kit. That’s all there is to getting started working for Avon – no training, no interview, no questions; you just hand the Sales Manager a twenty dollar bill, she hands you the sales kit, and than you head door to door selling stuff.
What do you like most about it? I like that I can change my schedual to fit my needs: if I want to stay awake and paint steady for 48 hours, I can. Pretty much it was a one day a week job – one day I deliver all the products to my customers, they gave me new orders, I didn’t have to do anything until the next shippment arrived for me to deliver.
The fact that you have to try to get people to reorder something EVERY SINGLE WEEK!! Avon would be much better if the shipments were once a month not once a week.

What’s next? What do you need to achieve that? Next? From Avon I moved to Macy’s.
Who else does this kind of work? uhm, Everybody else who sells beauty products door to door.

Old Orchard Beach Sea Shells

Job: Macy’s Sales Associate (part time temp)

Co: Macy’s Department Store
Duration in this position: 2006 through 2008;
Salary & benefits: $7.50 an hour; no benifits
Education: I left public school at age 8; self taught after that; had 2 years of college for fashion design and merchandising; took the “Give Them The Pickle” sales seminar
Other factors that helped you in scoring this job: my years as an Avon Sales Rep, my training in fashion design and merchandising, my training in sales via seminars
The job is about: running cash registers, cleaning fitting rooms, help customers find the perfect outfit, stocking racks of dresses.
How did you get this job? I walked into the store and asked if they had any job openings, and they hired me about 5 minutes later (she liked the way I was dressed, said I looked like some one who knew a thing or two about the fashion industry – I was wearing a black business suit with my hair tied in an Olive Oyl bun, and make up expertly applied to match my skin tonelearned  via my many years of appling Avon products during my sales rep career with them — if I had learned anything selling Avon, it was that you need to look the part if you want to be a sales rep, and though it’s not what I wear outside of work, I can pull off one hell of a professional career woman look, when I really want to) After hireing me she rememberd that she was required to have me fill out a job application.
What do you like most about it? I like that I can change my schedual to fit my needs: being a temp, ment that I was only working 4 or 5 hours a day 2 or 3 days a week, usually to replace some one who called in sick, and I could fill out a calander of days I was unable to work, and they only asked me to come in on the other days.
For the first time in my life I had a steady income and a weekly pay check I could count on. Loved that.
What do you hate about it?  Actually, I haven’t bee able to come up with anything I actually hated about this job. I loved it. I think it was my favorite job of anything else I’ve ever done.

What’s next? What do you need to achieve that? I have to reapply every year for this job, because it’s a temp job and not a regular job. I didn’t reapply this year, because my dog was very ill and required my constant daily care. He died a few months ago. Since than, I just seem to have not been much motivated to do anything at all. He was my constant compainion for 13 years, he was the one who stayed by my side through the flood, the fire, and the ordeal of being homeless and living on the streets. I’ve had a hard time not having him with me any more and some how that effected my going back to work at Macy’s. Or any place else for that matter.
Who else does this kind of work? uhm, Everybody else who sells beauty products door to door.

I like that I can work around other jobs too. I guess you could call me a work-a-holic, because I’m not happy unless I’ve got lots of jobs all at once.

Job: Witch

Co: self employed; freelance
Duration in this position: since 1979; still working in 2009; 30 years!
Salary & benefits: varies from free volunteer work to $200 – $700 per session client; no benifits;

Job: Avon Sales Representative

Co: Avon Products, INC.
Duration in this position: 1996 through 2003;
Salary & benefits: varies from 10% to 30% commision depending on ammount of sales that weekt; no benifits

Duration in this position: 2006 through 2008;
Salary & benefits: $7.50 an hour; no benifits

Well fact of the matter is, I have several jobs, all sort of helter skeltered together, so it’s a bit difficult to clearly defin them all, but I’ll try and see what happens. So here it goes:

Old Orchard Beach Sea Shells

Job: Writer/Author

I guess you could call me a work-a-holic, because I’m not happy unless I’ve got lots of jobs all at once.
What do you hate about it? Lack of a steady income – you could end up going weeks or even months between pay checks; lack of any benafits: no social security, no retirment, no insurance, nothing, zip, nadda.

Duration in this position: 2006 through 2008;
Salary & benefits: $7.50 an hour; no benifits

I’ve been tagged: Job Interview

black birdfall leaves centerblack bird

Job:

Job: Witch

Co: self employed; freelance
Duration in this position: since 1979; still working in 2009; 30 years!
Salary & benefits: varies from free volunteer work to $200 – $700 per session client; no benifits;

Job: Avon Sales Representative

Co: Avon Products, INC.
Duration in this position: 1996 through 2003;
Salary & benefits: varies from 10% to 30% commision depending on ammount of sales that weekt; no benifits

NaNoWriMo is STILL driving traffic to my blog, 4 years after the origial post! I wrote the post she was referencing in 2005.

I got a backlink comment telling me you’ve tagged my blog. I had to stop by and say thanks for the link!

And yes, as quoted in your post, I do in fact often write well over 10k a day, that’s how I finished my first NaNo of 2008 in 3 days, and went on to write 4 more NaNo’s during last years contest, for a grand total of 278k in 30 days. I write short stories, how to books, online articles, comic book scripts, plays, blogs, and once in a while a few novels. I didn’t start out writing 10k words a day though, I wrote my first book in 1978, a 16 page children’s picture book. I didn’t start writing high word counts until in the late 1980′s, and than it was more like 3k a day. I guess you could say the more years I was writing the longer my writing became, and the faster I was typing. So, in other words, it took me 30 years of practice to get to the point where I was writing 10k a day.

I’m actually glad to hear that I could be your inspiration. 2009 will be my 5th year at NaNo, I look forward to seeing you there once again.

This Blog Now Part of the Pagan Blogger’s Network

black birdOld Orchard Beach Sea Shellsblack bird

I kept seeing the Pagan Blogger’s Network banner on several of the blogs I read, and just finally got around to clicking on the banner to find out what it’s all about. Low and behold, it turned out to be a Z-List for Pagans. Cool! Anyone who reads my Star Log blogs knows how much I love themed Z-Lists (me having more than 30 blogs, means I have loves of themed blogs in need of marketing!) Over my many many years of blogging, I have personally found that the best way to market a blog is through the use of a Z-List, and as I mentioned a while back, I had planned to seek out and join (or start) a Z-List for Witches. Well, now I don’t have to start one (like that’ll stop me from starting another one though!LOL!)

Any ways, since a Z-List only works if you copy the original post and past it at the bottom of your own post introducing the fact that you’ve joined, so here is a copy of the original post:

Anyone with a blog that wants to join the newly formed Pagan Blogger’s Network please just comment here and include this graphic on your blog linking back to this post. I’ll be posting a list of all the blogs taking part at the bottom of this message. It’s a great opportunity for us all to share our thoughts and ideas while working towards building a large pagan network. But it will only work if we all take part.

Just a couple of things that people should know when they apply to join. I don’t update the comments on this thread every day. Sometimes it will take a few days for your name to appear on the list. Also when I do add people I always check their site. If I can’t find the Logo on your blog I won’t be adding you. A couple times a month I get someone wanting to added but who doesn’t add the banner and I have to be fair to those who do. So please link back to us with the banner.

I’ve been tagged: Job Interview

black birdfall leaves centerblack bird

Salary & benefits: varies from $1 – $200 per project; no benifits; though I was working as a painter for 31 years, I did not recieve my first actual payment for my work until 2004, when I placed my art for sale online via CafePress and Zazzle.

You can find out more about what I do for a living HERE.

Old Orchard Beach Sea Shells

Job: Witch

Co: self employed; freelance
Duration in this position: since 1979; still working in 2009; 30 years!
Salary & benefits: varies from free volunteer work to $200 – $700 per session client; no benifits;
In short, I I heal broken auras with the use of spell casting, voodoo dolls, color therapy, crystals, and by channeling the energy created by Etiole.

Old Orchard Beach Sea Shells

Job: Avon Sales Representative

Co: Avon Products, INC.
Duration in this position: 1996 through 2003;
Salary & benefits: varies from 10% to 30% commision depending on ammount of sales that weekt; no benifits

Duration in this position: 2006 through 2008;
Salary & benefits: $7.50 an hour; no benifits

I can now legally start my own church. From this point on you can now call me Reverend. – “As an ordained member of the clergy, you are hereby authorized to officiate religious rites and ceremonies, including marriage, baby naming, funeral services, invocations, and holiday ceremonies, as permitted and subject to the laws and regulations of your country, state, and municipality.” :)

Does this mean that I am tax exempt as well? Don’t know how the whole tax exemption thing works. I’ll have to remember to look into that.

Well, next step is to figure out how to start a church. There’s an old church –big huge 1700′s white church with towering steeple and super amazing stained glass windows– for sale in Biddeford. I’m seriously thinking of trying to get it.

EDIT:

For those wondering, I was ordained though a non-denominational church that offers ordination to ministers looking to start a church of their own without affiliation to a traditional organized religion. Pretty much you just tell them you want to start your own church based on a non-trad religion or that you have been called to start your own religion, and tell them which state you plan to start your congregation in, and they put you on their list of ministers ordained through their own church authorizing you to branch off their church so you can start your own church.

I can perform marriages, funerals, baptisms, etc in the state of Maine, as a result, but would have to check laws with other states, because not all 50 states recognize a church based on a non-trad religion. I only did research on Maine laws regarding starting churches; each state has different laws.

I can now preach on street corners too, but that requires a permit from each town and a lot of town don’t allow it and will arrest you for preaching in public — OOB, allows street preaching — Old Orchard gives out such permits; in the summer down by the Pier there are street preachers all over the place — I might get a permit to preach on the beach :)

Plus I checked with the IRS – I’m only tax exempt if I file a non-profit form with my tax return AND they approve it, but it says they don’t very often approve non-trad churches or churches that do not keep their door unlocked and open to the public 24 hours a day — I can’t think of a single church that doesn’t lock their doors, how are they tax exempt?
