When starting a new blog, I like to set up all the “possible” tags I may use over the years to come, and so I have them in the clickable drop down menu of my dashboard, I put them all on the first few posts of the blog – This is a very old post, copied from Star Log, to put my tags on this blog. Ritualistic prayers and chant are probably what sets Witches apart from the rest of the world more than anything else. We love our Creator, and we are not afraid to boldly cry out with songs and praise and dance. We have prayers for literally everything. We pray over our land, pray over our harvests, than pray over the food at each meal. We pray over babies and children, strangers and friends, loved ones and enemies, the young and the old. We pray over plants and grass and flowers and trees. We prayer birds and animals and insects and all things that breathe. We pray over mountains and rivers and oceans and streams. We pray over the moon and the stars, the sun and the clouds. Cars and houses, candles and books. There isn’t anything in this world for which there isn’t a prayer. Prayers may be simple or fancy, short or long. These prayers may or may not be accompanied by rituals-some Witches like to use rituals (I fear that some actually put to much focus on the ritual itself, and forget their original purpose). Many of these prayers are often accompanied by wild gestures and movements, song and dance, and most every Witch wears robes all day and all night-so they are seen dancing and singing and praying while wearing “strange clothes”–and this is sadly misinterpreted by the world. Unfortunatly, many people don’t understand this life of constant prayer and thanksgiving. The world passes by things in life and doesn’t think to stop and pray and thank the Creator for blessing us so. These people feel uncomfortable around Witches and even non-Witches who pray publicly and they are ashamed to be our friends or to even admit that they know us at all. Many times they even get mad and accuse us of worshipping the creation instead of the Creator! Oh. How little they know us, and how few even try to understand. When we try to explain it to them, they close out their minds and accuse us of being deceivers and devil worshippers trying to preach false doctrines and turn them away from God!! I pity these poor blinded fools who can not see that the Great Spirit created us all, that we are all children of one great Creator and that we all worship the very same “God” that they do–or at least the one that they claim to worship, but I’ve yet to see them fall to their knees and worship and praise and glorify the “God” that they say they know and love so well. 

Now there are some so-called “Witches” who do go to extremes and claim that the Creator actually is the sun or the moon and they do actually worship the creation, but these Witches are rare and few, and often you will find that they are not Witches at all, but actually only Wiccas pretending to be Witches. My focus, here, are on the real Witches, the true Witches, the traditional Witches, and the ones who follow the ways of the original Witches: the ancient Prophets, Magi, Wise Men, and Wise Women of old. I am not referring the Wiccas, the Wiccans, the “New Age” Witches, the Druids, or the Celts–but Witches of today, that follow the ways of very ancient of ancients–the holy God-fearing priests of Egypt, Persian, China, and Judea.

Chants and prayers of these ancient Witches are famous-and quoted everyday by the most “God-fearing” Jews and Christians–even the laws of Witches “those famous Ten Commandments” are accepted as truth by the haters of our kind. So why is it wrong for us Witches of today to worship our Creator just as we have for thousands of years? Why? Because, men have always sought to destroy us–did they not try to kill Jacob Israel for casting curses, Joseph for being a soothsayer, Moses of being a sorcerer, Daniel for being a Wise Man, and Jesus for being a magician (Magi)?  Yet the children of their persecutors, who today continue to persecute our kind as evil, today revere all of these Witches! Undaunted, by the chidings of men, we follow after the footsteps of our forefathers (myself a descendant of great Egyptian/Hebrew soothsayer Joseph). We Witches live, as we always have to praise our Creator and live in continual thanksgiving.

What confuses and offends most people is the fact that we talk to our Creator. Most of the world thinks of that, as “a sin”-only the “holiest of holies” is allowed to do that. I have never understood this way of viewing God. If I want to talk to my Creator I don’t see any reason why I can’t. Why must I tell my prayers to a dead saint or a priest? How do I know that they will give my prayer to God? How do I know that they won’t change my payer? No, if I want to talk to God, I’ll do just that.

Many people see the chants and the rituals they see the candles and the robes and they think: Satan. Why? Does not your church light candles? Do not your priests wear sacred robes? Do not your temple priests read prayers in “the sacred language of God” a form of twinligde, which no one can translate? My point is, why is it okay for you and not for us? Are you worshipping Satan with your robes and candles and chants?

Maybe we should take look at the chants of Witches, both anciently and today. Witches love to quote their wordy poetic chants and prayers, but how many of you have ever listened to the words? Are you so busy screaming blasphemy that you can’t hear what those chanting Witches are saying? Or are you afraid of the fact that you know these Witches really do have the Creator’s powers within them-you hear the words-you know the Bible-you know the curses brought about by others who have said these very same words (Elijah and Elisha, Moses and Jesus)-you know how powerful these words are. Is that why you hate Witches so? Yes, that’s it isn’t it? You are afraid that these Witches, like the ones of old know the evil thoughts of your heart, the sins in your life-you are afraid that these Witches really are able to call down the powers of God to rain brimstone and fire upon your head, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, or confound your tongue like at the tower of Babel, or turn you to salt like Lot’s wife. You know that Witches who follow the Great Spirit are able to cast spells in His name and set His wrath upon you and you are afraid, because you know that you have not been as faithful to your God as you ought to be. You are jealous that the Witches are able to devote their lives to their Creator, while you must hide away your life of lust, vanity, pride, sin, and shame-all of which you try to hide behind your angelic smiles, your sweet songs, and your reading of the Bible at church each Sunday, and pray that the world (and God) didn’t see the things you did all last week. 

That is why the world hates Witches–they are afraid of us, because they know the Lord’s power is in us. They are afraid that the chants and the gestures and the robes and the spells are real. They believe in the power of the words and they are afraid…

Although I do believe that words, chants, and movements are very powerful and are an essential part of any spell, I also believe that no word or set of words is right for any one spell every time you use the spell. The words you use for your spell should be a very personal thing; each individual spell should be giving it’s very own special chant/prayer/set of words that will be used that one time only and never to be used in exactly the same way again. Words can be used in a spell in many ways-sometimes in the form of a prayer, other times in the form of a chant, sometimes in the form of a song; many modern Witches even choose to use poetry! Think carefully about what you are going to say, why you are going to say it, how you intend to say it, and know for sure exactly the words that you are going to use. You can write the prayer/chant/poem yourself, or you can use one that someone else wrote (the Bible’s book of Psalms is used as inspiration by most all Witches, as well as poems and quotes from Tennyson, Longfellow, Whittier, Benjamin Franklin, and even Dr. Seuss). Whatever you choose to say, keep it short, simple and to the point-it’s best to write it down ahead of time and spend a few hours meditating on it, so that you will have it memorized for when you actually perform the spell (don’t worry about “perfect recitals”-keep your “chant” written down and with you, just in case you forget it or in case you wish your client to read/say it to).

While I believe that prayers, chants, and phrases that you write yourself are the most powerful for your spells and rituals, I also realize that when it comes to writing prayers, chants, or phrases most Witches come to a dead end. Writer’s block, that’s all it is, but what is writer’s block, anyways? Writer’s block is what happens when you want to write something, but no matter how had you try you just can’t come you with words that you feel are “right”. Most people interpret writer’s block as the fact that they just aren’t good writers, but this is not true. Anyone is capable of becoming a good writer; they just have to learn how that’s all. If you’d really like to learn how to write like a professional, then there are several classes that you can take. But if you’re like me and most other Witches, you really don’t have the time or money required to take a class on elegant writing, so now what? Well, I didn’t say that the words of others weren’t powerful; I only said that your own words are more powerful for use with own spells.

 When you write your own words you write with your intensions in mind, you put your own energy into the words and fill them with power, they are custom tailored for your spell and your spell only, and thus they carry greater power. However, if you can’t think of what to write, don’t despair, you are not alone. While some Witches can make up beautiful poetic chants off the top of their head, most Witches do not have this ability, and therefore well want to use words written by others, which is perfectly all right. You can change them to suit your own needs, taking a sentence from one chant and combining it with a phrase from a prayer and then adding in a famous quote, and than adding or deleting words as you see fit. 

Don’t feel that you must repeat the same chant that someone else did-change it if you want too. Or take a chant and use it for an entirely different purpose. What is important is that the words really speak to you, that they have meaning, that they express what you are trying to achieve, that you feel the power in those words. Witches have been doing this for years, because, well, let’s face-not everyone wants to focus all of their time writing prayers, chants, and phrases. So for those of you out their who need help getting started I have included here a list of phrases that I commonly put into my own chants and prayers (feel free to add. delete, or change words as you see fit). You will notice that I have not included any “completed” chants or prayers, and that I have not said any “use these words for this and those words for that”. I have purposely not arranged them into chants or prayers to allow you the to mix and match them. They my even inspirer you to write some of your own. There are enough phrases included here for you to write literally thousands of chants and prayers, simply by mixing and matching these phrases as you see fit for the occasion for which you intend to use them. I have put them down in alphabetical order by first word, so that you can easily look them up later on. :

All evil that you send me, shall be mirrored back on you, sevenfold by sevenfold-like a swift blade, your own curse shall strike you down

All of the earth is wrapped in thy love

All the earth celebrates thee O’Lord

All these blessings and more shall come and overtake you.

Almighty and everlasting Lord, who has created us

And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior

Here are a few examples of how the above phrases can be used. These are a few chants and prayers that I use. Most times I write a new one for each time I need one-I rarely use the same one twice. There is an exception to this though. Reversing curses in a thing that I specilize in,the curse reversing chant here is the one that I have used many times and have had the most success with. It can be used to remove curses from yourself or from others,by simple changing the words (such as change I,me,and mine to he,she,or they or the actual names)-when lifting a curse from others,it is best if they too,say this chant. You can use it as it is or you can modify it to meet your own needs. Mix and match to your hearts content.

(first pray to the Great Spirit and ask for streangth)

Ritualistic prayers and chant are probably what sets Witches apart from the rest of the world more than anything else. We pray over the moon and the stars, the sun and the clouds. Cars and houses, candles and books. There isn’t anything in this world for which there isn’t a prayer. Prayers may be simple or fancy, short or long. These prayers may or may not be accompanied by rituals-some Witches like to use rituals (I fear that some actually put to much focus on the ritual itself, and forget their original purpose). Many of these prayers are often accompanied by wild gestures and movements, song and dance, and most every Witch wears robes all day and all night-so they are seen dancing and singing and praying while wearing “strange clothes”–and this is sadly misinterpreted by the world. Unfortunatly, many people don’t understand this life of constant prayer and thanksgiving. The world passes by things in life and doesn’t think to stop and pray and thank the Creator for blessing us so. These people feel uncomfortable around Witches and even non-Witches who pray publicly and they are ashamed to be our friends or to even admit that they know us at all. Many times they even get mad and accuse us of worshipping the creation instead of the Creator! Oh. How little they know us, and how few even try to understand. When we try to explain it to them, they close out their minds and accuse us of being deceivers and devil worshippers trying to preach false doctrines and turn them away from God!! I pity these poor blinded fools who can not see that the Great Spirit created us all, that we are all children of one great Creator and that we all worship the very same “God” that they do–or at least the one that they claim to worship, but I’ve yet to see them fall to their knees and worship and praise and glorify the “God” that they say they know and love so well. 

Now there are some so-called “Witches” who do go to extremes and claim that the Creator actually is the sun or the moon and they do actually worship the creation, but these Witches are rare and few, and often you will find that they are not Witches at all, but actually only Wiccas pretending to be Witches. My focus, here, are on the real Witches, the true Witches, the traditional Witches, and the ones who follow the ways of the original Witches: the ancient Prophets, Magi, Wise Men, and Wise Women of old. I am not referring the Wiccas, the Wiccans, the “New Age” Witches, the Druids, or the Celts–but Witches of today, that follow the ways of very ancient of ancients–the holy God-fearing priests of Egypt, Persian, China, and Judea.

Chants and prayers of these ancient Witches are famous-and quoted everyday by the most “God-fearing” Jews and Christians–even the laws of Witches “those famous Ten Commandments” are accepted as truth by the haters of our kind. So why is it wrong for us Witches of today to worship our Creator just as we have for thousands of years? Why? Because, men have always sought to destroy us–did they not try to kill Jacob Israel for casting curses, Joseph for being a soothsayer, Moses of being a sorcerer, Daniel for being a Wise Man, and Jesus for being a magician (Magi)?  Yet the children of their persecutors, who today continue to persecute our kind as evil, today revere all of these Witches! Undaunted, by the chidings of men, we follow after the footsteps of our forefathers (myself a descendant of great Egyptian/Hebrew soothsayer Joseph). We Witches live, as we always have to praise our Creator and live in continual thanksgiving.

What confuses and offends most people is the fact that we talk to our Creator. Most of the world thinks of that, as “a sin”-only the “holiest of holies” is allowed to do that. I have never understood this way of viewing God. If I want to talk to my Creator I don’t see any reason why I can’t. Why must I tell my prayers to a dead saint or a priest? How do I know that they will give my prayer to God? How do I know that they won’t change my payer? No, if I want to talk to God, I’ll do just that.

Many people see the chants and the rituals they see the candles and the robes and they think: Satan. Why? Does not your church light candles? Do not your priests wear sacred robes? Do not your temple priests read prayers in “the sacred language of God” a form of twinligde, which no one can translate? My point is, why is it okay for you and not for us? Are you worshipping Satan with your robes and candles and chants?

Maybe we should take look at the chants of Witches, both anciently and today. Witches love to quote their wordy poetic chants and prayers, but how many of you have ever listened to the words? Are you so busy screaming blasphemy that you can’t hear what those chanting Witches are saying? Or are you afraid of the fact that you know these Witches really do have the Creator’s powers within them-you hear the words-you know the Bible-you know the curses brought about by others who have said these very same words (Elijah and Elisha, Moses and Jesus)-you know how powerful these words are. Is that why you hate Witches so? Yes, that’s it isn’t it? You are afraid that these Witches, like the ones of old know the evil thoughts of your heart, the sins in your life-you are afraid that these Witches really are able to call down the powers of God to rain brimstone and fire upon your head, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, or confound your tongue like at the tower of Babel, or turn you to salt like Lot’s wife. You know that Witches who follow the Great Spirit are able to cast spells in His name and set His wrath upon you and you are afraid, because you know that you have not been as faithful to your God as you ought to be. You are jealous that the Witches are able to devote their lives to their Creator, while you must hide away your life of lust, vanity, pride, sin, and shame-all of which you try to hide behind your angelic smiles, your sweet songs, and your reading of the Bible at church each Sunday, and pray that the world (and God) didn’t see the things you did all last week. 

That is why the world hates Witches–they are afraid of us, because they know the Lord’s power is in us. They are afraid that the chants and the gestures and the robes and the spells are real. They believe in the power of the words and they are afraid…

Although I do believe that words, chants, and movements are very powerful and are an essential part of any spell, I also believe that no word or set of words is right for any one spell every time you use the spell. The words you use for your spell should be a very personal thing; each individual spell should be giving it’s very own special chant/prayer/set of words that will be used that one time only and never to be used in exactly the same way again. Words can be used in a spell in many ways-sometimes in the form of a prayer, other times in the form of a chant, sometimes in the form of a song; many modern Witches even choose to use poetry! Think carefully about what you are going to say, why you are going to say it, how you intend to say it, and know for sure exactly the words that you are going to use. You can write the prayer/chant/poem yourself, or you can use one that someone else wrote (the Bible’s book of Psalms is used as inspiration by most all Witches, as well as poems and quotes from Tennyson, Longfellow, Whittier, Benjamin Franklin, and even Dr. Seuss). Whatever you choose to say, keep it short, simple and to the point-it’s best to write it down ahead of time and spend a few hours meditating on it, so that you will have it memorized for when you actually perform the spell (don’t worry about “perfect recitals”-keep your “chant” written down and with you, just in case you forget it or in case you wish your client to read/say it to).

While I believe that prayers, chants, and phrases that you write yourself are the most powerful for your spells and rituals, I also realize that when it comes to writing prayers, chants, or phrases most Witches come to a dead end. Writer’s block, that’s all it is, but what is writer’s block, anyways? Writer’s block is what happens when you want to write something, but no matter how had you try you just can’t come you with words that you feel are “right”. Most people interpret writer’s block as the fact that they just aren’t good writers, but this is not true. Anyone is capable of becoming a good writer; they just have to learn how that’s all. If you’d really like to learn how to write like a professional, then there are several classes that you can take. But if you’re like me and most other Witches, you really don’t have the time or money required to take a class on elegant writing, so now what? Well, I didn’t say that the words of others weren’t powerful; I only said that your own words are more powerful for use with own spells.

 When you write your own words you write with your intensions in mind, you put your own energy into the words and fill them with power, they are custom tailored for your spell and your spell only, and thus they carry greater power. However, if you can’t think of what to write, don’t despair, you are not alone. While some Witches can make up beautiful poetic chants off the top of their head, most Witches do not have this ability, and therefore well want to use words written by others, which is perfectly all right. You can change them to suit your own needs, taking a sentence from one chant and combining it with a phrase from a prayer and then adding in a famous quote, and than adding or deleting words as you see fit. 

Don’t feel that you must repeat the same chant that someone else did-change it if you want too. Or take a chant and use it for an entirely different purpose. What is important is that the words really speak to you, that they have meaning, that they express what you are trying to achieve, that you feel the power in those words. Witches have been doing this for years, because, well, let’s face-not everyone wants to focus all of their time writing prayers, chants, and phrases. So for those of you out their who need help getting started I have included here a list of phrases that I commonly put into my own chants and prayers (feel free to add. delete, or change words as you see fit). You will notice that I have not included any “completed” chants or prayers, and that I have not said any “use these words for this and those words for that”. I have purposely not arranged them into chants or prayers to allow you the to mix and match them. They my even inspirer you to write some of your own. There are enough phrases included here for you to write literally thousands of chants and prayers, simply by mixing and matching these phrases as you see fit for the occasion for which you intend to use them. I have put them down in alphabetical order by first word, so that you can easily look them up later on. :

All evil that you send me, shall be mirrored back on you, sevenfold by sevenfold-like a swift blade, your own curse shall strike you down

All of the earth is wrapped in thy love

All the earth celebrates thee O’Lord

All these blessings and more shall come and overtake you.

Almighty and everlasting Lord, who has created us

Here are a few examples of how the above phrases can be used. These are a few chants and prayers that I use. Most times I write a new one for each time I need one-I rarely use the same one twice. There is an exception to this though. Reversing curses in a thing that I specilize in,the curse reversing chant here is the one that I have used many times and have had the most success with. It can be used to remove curses from yourself or from others,by simple changing the words (such as change I,me,and mine to he,she,or they or the actual names)-when lifting a curse from others,it is best if they too,say this chant. You can use it as it is or you can modify it to meet your own needs. Mix and match to your hearts content.

Quotes, Words, and Phrases to be used for prayers, spells, and rituals:

Ritualistic prayers and chant are probably what sets Witches apart from the rest of the world more than anything else. We love our Creator, and we are not afraid to boldly cry out with songs and praise and dance. We have prayers for literally everything. We pray over our land, pray over our harvests, than pray over the food at each meal. We pray over babies and children, strangers and friends, loved ones and enemies, the young and the old. We pray over plants and grass and flowers and trees. We prayer birds and animals and insects and all things that breathe. We pray over mountains and rivers and oceans and streams. We pray over the moon and the stars, the sun and the clouds. Cars and houses, candles and books. There isn’t anything in this world for which there isn’t a prayer. Prayers may be simple or fancy, short or long. These prayers may or may not be accompanied by rituals-some Witches like to use rituals (I fear that some actually put to much focus on the ritual itself, and forget their original purpose). Many of these prayers are often accompanied by wild gestures and movements, song and dance, and most every Witch wears robes all day and all night-so they are seen dancing and singing and praying while wearing “strange clothes”–and this is sadly misinterpreted by the world. Unfortunatly, many people don’t understand this life of constant prayer and thanksgiving. The world passes by things in life and doesn’t think to stop and pray and thank the Creator for blessing us so. These people feel uncomfortable around Witches and even non-Witches who pray publicly and they are ashamed to be our friends or to even admit that they know us at all. Many times they even get mad and accuse us of worshipping the creation instead of the Creator! Oh. How little they know us, and how few even try to understand. When we try to explain it to them, they close out their minds and accuse us of being deceivers and devil worshippers trying to preach false doctrines and turn them away from God!! I pity these poor blinded fools who can not see that the Great Spirit created us all, that we are all children of one great Creator and that we all worship the very same “God” that they do–or at least the one that they claim to worship, but I’ve yet to see them fall to their knees and worship and praise and glorify the “God” that they say they know and love so well. 

Now there are some so-called “Witches” who do go to extremes and claim that the Creator actually is the sun or the moon and they do actually worship the creation, but these Witches are rare and few, and often you will find that they are not Witches at all, but actually only Wiccas pretending to be Witches. My focus, here, are on the real Witches, the true Witches, the traditional Witches, and the ones who follow the ways of the original Witches: the ancient Prophets, Magi, Wise Men, and Wise Women of old. I am not referring the Wiccas, the Wiccans, the “New Age” Witches, the Druids, or the Celts–but Witches of today, that follow the ways of very ancient of ancients–the holy God-fearing priests of Egypt, Persian, China, and Judea.

Chants and prayers of these ancient Witches are famous-and quoted everyday by the most “God-fearing” Jews and Christians–even the laws of Witches “those famous Ten Commandments” are accepted as truth by the haters of our kind. So why is it wrong for us Witches of today to worship our Creator just as we have for thousands of years? Why? Because, men have always sought to destroy us–did they not try to kill Jacob Israel for casting curses, Joseph for being a soothsayer, Moses of being a sorcerer, Daniel for being a Wise Man, and Jesus for being a magician (Magi)?  Yet the children of their persecutors, who today continue to persecute our kind as evil, today revere all of these Witches! Undaunted, by the chidings of men, we follow after the footsteps of our forefathers (myself a descendant of great Egyptian/Hebrew soothsayer Joseph). We Witches live, as we always have to praise our Creator and live in continual thanksgiving.

What confuses and offends most people is the fact that we talk to our Creator. Most of the world thinks of that, as “a sin”-only the “holiest of holies” is allowed to do that. I have never understood this way of viewing God. If I want to talk to my Creator I don’t see any reason why I can’t. Why must I tell my prayers to a dead saint or a priest? How do I know that they will give my prayer to God? How do I know that they won’t change my payer? No, if I want to talk to God, I’ll do just that.

Many people see the chants and the rituals they see the candles and the robes and they think: Satan. Why? Does not your church light candles? Do not your priests wear sacred robes? Do not your temple priests read prayers in “the sacred language of God” a form of twinligde, which no one can translate? My point is, why is it okay for you and not for us? Are you worshipping Satan with your robes and candles and chants?

Maybe we should take look at the chants of Witches, both anciently and today. Witches love to quote their wordy poetic chants and prayers, but how many of you have ever listened to the words? Are you so busy screaming blasphemy that you can’t hear what those chanting Witches are saying? Or are you afraid of the fact that you know these Witches really do have the Creator’s powers within them-you hear the words-you know the Bible-you know the curses brought about by others who have said these very same words (Elijah and Elisha, Moses and Jesus)-you know how powerful these words are. Is that why you hate Witches so? Yes, that’s it isn’t it? You are afraid that these Witches, like the ones of old know the evil thoughts of your heart, the sins in your life-you are afraid that these Witches really are able to call down the powers of God to rain brimstone and fire upon your head, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, or confound your tongue like at the tower of Babel, or turn you to salt like Lot’s wife. You know that Witches who follow the Great Spirit are able to cast spells in His name and set His wrath upon you and you are afraid, because you know that you have not been as faithful to your God as you ought to be. You are jealous that the Witches are able to devote their lives to their Creator, while you must hide away your life of lust, vanity, pride, sin, and shame-all of which you try to hide behind your angelic smiles, your sweet songs, and your reading of the Bible at church each Sunday, and pray that the world (and God) didn’t see the things you did all last week. 

That is why the world hates Witches–they are afraid of us, because they know the Lord’s power is in us. They are afraid that the chants and the gestures and the robes and the spells are real. They believe in the power of the words and they are afraid…

Although I do believe that words, chants, and movements are very powerful and are an essential part of any spell, I also believe that no word or set of words is right for any one spell every time you use the spell. The words you use for your spell should be a very personal thing; each individual spell should be giving it’s very own special chant/prayer/set of words that will be used that one time only and never to be used in exactly the same way again. Words can be used in a spell in many ways-sometimes in the form of a prayer, other times in the form of a chant, sometimes in the form of a song; many modern Witches even choose to use poetry! Think carefully about what you are going to say, why you are going to say it, how you intend to say it, and know for sure exactly the words that you are going to use. You can write the prayer/chant/poem yourself, or you can use one that someone else wrote (the Bible’s book of Psalms is used as inspiration by most all Witches, as well as poems and quotes from Tennyson, Longfellow, Whittier, Benjamin Franklin, and even Dr. Seuss). Whatever you choose to say, keep it short, simple and to the point-it’s best to write it down ahead of time and spend a few hours meditating on it, so that you will have it memorized for when you actually perform the spell (don’t worry about “perfect recitals”-keep your “chant” written down and with you, just in case you forget it or in case you wish your client to read/say it to).

While I believe that prayers, chants, and phrases that you write yourself are the most powerful for your spells and rituals, I also realize that when it comes to writing prayers, chants, or phrases most Witches come to a dead end. Writer’s block, that’s all it is, but what is writer’s block, anyways? Writer’s block is what happens when you want to write something, but no matter how had you try you just can’t come you with words that you feel are “right”. Most people interpret writer’s block as the fact that they just aren’t good writers, but this is not true. Anyone is capable of becoming a good writer; they just have to learn how that’s all. If you’d really like to learn how to write like a professional, then there are several classes that you can take. But if you’re like me and most other Witches, you really don’t have the time or money required to take a class on elegant writing, so now what? Well, I didn’t say that the words of others weren’t powerful; I only said that your own words are more powerful for use with own spells.

 When you write your own words you write with your intensions in mind, you put your own energy into the words and fill them with power, they are custom tailored for your spell and your spell only, and thus they carry greater power. However, if you can’t think of what to write, don’t despair, you are not alone. While some Witches can make up beautiful poetic chants off the top of their head, most Witches do not have this ability, and therefore well want to use words written by others, which is perfectly all right. You can change them to suit your own needs, taking a sentence from one chant and combining it with a phrase from a prayer and then adding in a famous quote, and than adding or deleting words as you see fit. 

Don’t feel that you must repeat the same chant that someone else did-change it if you want too. Or take a chant and use it for an entirely different purpose. What is important is that the words really speak to you, that they have meaning, that they express what you are trying to achieve, that you feel the power in those words. Witches have been doing this for years, because, well, let’s face-not everyone wants to focus all of their time writing prayers, chants, and phrases. So for those of you out their who need help getting started I have included here a list of phrases that I commonly put into my own chants and prayers (feel free to add. delete, or change words as you see fit). You will notice that I have not included any “completed” chants or prayers, and that I have not said any “use these words for this and those words for that”. I have purposely not arranged them into chants or prayers to allow you the to mix and match them. They my even inspirer you to write some of your own. There are enough phrases included here for you to write literally thousands of chants and prayers, simply by mixing and matching these phrases as you see fit for the occasion for which you intend to use them. I have put them down in alphabetical order by first word, so that you can easily look them up later on. :

With Thy streangth I ignore the hash word spoken,and sing through my tribulation

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

You have no power over me

Here are a few examples of how the above phrases can be used. These are a few chants and prayers that I use. Most times I write a new one for each time I need one-I rarely use the same one twice. There is an exception to this though. Reversing curses in a thing that I specilize in,the curse reversing chant here is the one that I have used many times and have had the most success with. It can be used to remove curses from yourself or from others,by simple changing the words (such as change I,me,and mine to he,she,or they or the actual names)-when lifting a curse from others,it is best if they too,say this chant. You can use it as it is or you can modify it to meet your own needs. Mix and match to your hearts content.

Reversing and Banishing a Curse or An Enemy’s Intent to do Harm 

(first pray to the Great Spirit and ask for streangth)

The LORD God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

The LORD will be a refuge for the oppressed

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies

Show Thy marvellous lovingkindness, O Thou that savest by Thy right hand them which put their trust in Thee from those that rise up against them.

(then adress the ememy in person or face torwards the direction where they live and command with a bold loud voice or write it on a billboard sized sign and stand it on front your lawn-that’s what I do)
