What the heck, I had fun doing this, so I thought I’d share.
Describe your novel using links to relevant TV Tropes pages. Be as detailed or as vague as you like. |
Seeing how my plot is basically an none ending bloodbath in a house of death (interrupted only by time out for graphic sex) and there are 3 serial killers, one whack job psycho doctor, a paranoid madman, a haunted mansion, a bevy of scantly clad blond sex crazed teenage girls, and a body on just about every page (the girls of course), this is going to be a long list. (Keeping in mind I’m rewriting into novel length a short story that I originally wrote in 1983 when slashers flicks reigned supreme, and the point of the story was to have no point at all other than to gruesomely slash as many sex crazed girls as possible, than run by screaming while throwing their severed heads at the next victim.). Yes, I write practically unpublishable Extreme Body Horror Splatterpunk Gorn and am damn proud of it, too.
Here we go. These are more or less in order, sort of:

Unreliable Narrator
Through The Eyes Of Madness
The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You
Or Is It
It’s the story of a scandalous romance between a 70 year old man and a pre-teen girl, that is interrupted by a haunted house that wants to eat them. Pregnant pre-teen girl gets eaten on page one, elderly lover loses hands and face on next page, locks himself up in his 500 room mansion and than goes crazy. It’s the “prequel” to The Twighlight Manor series, the back story that tells how the mansion went from a honeymoon home to a house of death. The POV is a roller-coaster ride forward, backward, and side ways through the mind of it’s schizophrenic owner. It’s flash back on top of flash back inside of night mares and daydreams and in the end you can’t tell what’s up or down and what’s really happening or what is just the delusions of a madman. He’s got all these things happening all around him, and you don’t really realize until you get to the end, that Roderic is, you know, insane.
My main characters = a psycho doctor, 3 serial killers, a drag queen prostitute, a sadistic cult leader, & an elderly pedophile; yeah, 3 serial killers – it’s a pair of whacked out twin brothers and one of their sons – a serial killing trio, each kind of kills to out do the other two, though one of the three gets killed by the drag queen – and those are the heroes – the villain is a 400 year old house that eats people. But than again, is it really the house eating people or is it the faceless hook-handed madman who owns it eating them? No one really knows…I don’t even know and I’ve been writing The Twighlight Manor series for 31 years now! LOL! When we see the next body, we’ll just agree with Roderic when he says: “It’s the house. The house did it. She’s evil. She won’t let me leave. She’s trying to kill me. You can’t stay. You have to leave. She’s going to kill you. She kills every one.”
But than again, wither or not the house is eating people is not the point of the story, either – it’s all about racking up the body count with each murder more gruesome than the last. It’s almost frightening that I can come up with enough ways to kill people that there can be a murder in each of the Manor’s 500+ rooms, and when I run out of rooms the Manor obligingly builds a few more that no one can remember being there yesterday. . =P
